Bedrooms
​
Both bedrooms feature exposed beams and open eaves, plentiful storage, hair dryers and mirrors, The Double room has an Original Bed Company British made bedframe with luxury hotel mattress. The second bedroom contains 2 single beds and a full size daybed all with memory foam mattresses.
Dogs
We warmly welcome 3 dogs for free, they have a dedicated cupboard by the back door with treats, bowls, throws, towels, poo bags, and first aid. Our secure enclosed garden (5.8ft-6ft fence) has a hose with variable spray gun. The beach is dog friendly year around, with a small section in front of the lifeguards restricted in the summer.
They are welcome on the indoor and outdoor sofas with throws, or lounging in front of the wood burner if they prefer.
There is a stairgate in place if helpful, though they are welcomed upstairs in their own beds, our only request is not on our white linens or towels.
You can leave them in the cottage on their own for a short while if it won't distress them, after all it's their holiday too.
Local pubs, cafes and even a fine dining restaurant welcome dogs locally and many have a canine menu available.

Garden
The enclosed garden at Rocket House is designed with both dogs and children in mind, with fencing between 5ft 8in and 6ft 2in for peace of mind. It leads directly onto spacious private parking for two cars on a quiet lane shared by just five neighbouring properties, with the village playfield beyond.
​
At the front of the cottage, a gravel garden sits behind a 6ft gate, with additional 4ft fencing and mature hedging creating a welcoming outdoor space.
​
Relax into the rattan sofa or egg chair with a drink in the sunshine, or enjoy the evening light from the teak Lutyens bench. On breezier days, the beach-hut style summer house offers a sheltered spot to sit and warm up.
​
Guests are welcome to use the charcoal BBQ, washing line, picnic set, beach toys, beach chairs and windbreaks during their stay.
Living & Dining Room
A spacious open-plan living and dining room with exposed beams and a cosy log fire. At 21ft long there’s plenty of room to relax, with comfortable leather sofas where dogs are welcome to curl up too. After a day on the beach, unwind with a film, a board game, or dinner together around the dining table.

The kitchen overlooks the secure rear garden and is very well equipped for comfortable self-catering stays.
It includes an AEG electric oven with ceramic hob, a full-size fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, convection microwave, toaster, kettle and cafetière, plus a slow cooker, high-quality glassware and sharp Sheffield kitchen knives. A utility cupboard provides a drying rack, steam iron and tabletop ironing board. It’s a real home-from-home kitchen, suitable for everything from a full Sunday roast to a quick pizza.

Next to the back door you’ll find a dog cupboard with bowls, towels, throws, treats, first aid and other useful bits for your four-legged friends.

A starter cleaning pack is provided, including dishwasher tablets, washing-up liquid, cloths and tea towels.
Bathroom

The bathroom features a bath with a separate electric shower cubicle, WC and basin, along with an electric towel heater.

Towels, toilet paper and Baylis & Harding hand wash are provided for your stay.

The cottage has a combi boiler providing on-demand hot water, so there’s no tank to run out — ideal for families. As with many coastal villages, water pressure can occasionally be lower during busy holiday periods, so shower pressure may vary at times.
​Sea Palling
Sea Palling is a traditional Norfolk fishing village with a wide sandy Blue Flag beach, where offshore reefs create sheltered waters that are ideal for swimming, paddling and relaxed beach days. There is also a sauna on the beach.
​
The beach is dog friendly all year round, with only a small section near the lifeguards restricted during the main summer season (May–September).
​
In the village you’ll find seasonal fresh lobster and crab, sandy beaches and a modern playground, trampolines and amusements, a friendly dog-friendly pub, a café, a fish and chip shop, and a bistro, along with a local shop and post office.
​
Just a mile away there is a farm shop and butchers, with several excellent restaurants within three miles, including Michelin-listed dining — one of which is also dog friendly.

About Us
Born and raised in East Anglia my husband and I have travelled the world but found our hearts belonged to Norfolk. We live in Lessingham, just 2 miles away, so we're on hand if needed.
I have enjoyed walking, wild camping and swimming here since I was a child. In 2017 our dream came true to purchase and renovate this chocolate-box thatched cottage - we hope you will love it as much as we do.
